  • Cut: Wagyu Flat Iron Steak is cut from the flat muscle off the shoulder or Chuck.

  • Flavor / Fat Profile: The generous marbling and delicate texture of the meat along with its rich flavor make it ideal for grilling, broiling, frying, or searing.

  • Preparation: We recommend marinating the Wagyu Flat Iron Steak before cooking to soften the muscle fibers. Best grilled or seared over medium-high heat.

  • Dish / Recipe Suggestions:  To ensure the steak tastes as good as it looks, season it well before cooking. Rub the steak with salt and pepper, then let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Afterward, place the steak on a wire rack set inside a rimmed baking sheet and refrigerate until ready to cook.

    Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat. Once hot, add 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan. Add the steak and sear for 2 minutes per side. Remove the steak from the pan and allow it to rest for 3 minutes.
    You could also throw it on the grill over high heat for the same cook times.
    After resting, slice the steak into thin strips across the grain. Serve immediately.
