How does Cross Creek Ranch Premium Meats handle shipping?

We utilize the best practices in shipping to ensure your orders arrive in perfect condition. For detailed information, please review our Shipping Policy page.

How quickly does my order ship?

Packages are shipped Two-Day Air / Express, which should ensure meat is still frozen or partially frozen upon delivery. We ship products on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of each week, with exceptions for holidays or blizzard conditions (rare but it has happened) that may fall on those days. Orders received after 12 noon MST on Wednesday will ship the following Monday.

Orders Received Orders Processed & Shipped Estimated Delivery Date
By Noon Monday MDT Monday Wednesday
By Noon Tuesday MDT Tuesday Thursday
By Noon Wednesday MDT Wednesday Friday
Orders placed between Noon Wednesday and Noon Monday MDT Monday Wednesday

Unfortunately, we are unable to ship outside of the Continental United States. Packages are shipped via UPS, with one flat fee charged. Orders falling below $200 are charged a rate of $49. Orders over $199.99 are shipped complimentary. We have a minimum order of $100 unless picking up locally from our Temecula, CA location.

How do you ship the meat?

Each shipment will arrive in a recyclable box lined with biodegradable insulated foam and packed with dry ice. Inside the box, your meat will arrive frozen or partially frozen, individually sealed, in air-tight packaging.

Since my meat will arrive frozen, how long will it take to thaw?

Wagyu is a delicate meat and must be handled with care. Before you start to prepare it to be cooked, you should thaw your meat in your refrigerator. If the meat arrives frozen solid, you could need as many as 48 hours to fully thaw it in your refrigerator. For complete handling and care instructions, visit our Wagyu Handling page.

What do I do if I'm unhappy with how the products arrived?

Since we use common shipping methods, we can't control the actual shipping process, however we want every customer to be more than satisfied with their purchase. For this reason we want to hear of any issues as soon as possible. Please contact us by calling 1-800-979-8322 or via our Contact Form.

What are your Refund / Return / Exchange Policies?

Do you Age your meat?

Currently Cross Creek Ranch Premium Meats offers Dry Aged.

"Dry Aging" is a process that, until recently, was difficult to accomplish without a great deal of waste and risk of microbial contaminants. However, modern refrigeration technology and advancements in drying techniques have eliminated these risks and now you can enjoy the unique flavor and juiciness of a finely aged meat. After butchering, large primal cuts are hung in temperature controlled refrigeration units and allowed to dry for weeks. Due to the additional processing, refrigerated storage, and time needed, "Dry Aged" meats command a higher price than the typically prepared "Wet Aged" meats. Currently, at Cross Creek Ranch Premium Meats, we age our "Dry Aged" meats for at least 21 days before final packaging.
