Bavette Steak Recipe: Simple and Delicious

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb bavette steak (also known as flank steak)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Season the steak. Pat the bavette steak dry with a paper towel. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

  2. Sear the steak. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear until browned on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside on a plate.

  3. Cook the steak. Reduce the heat to low. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the pan. Return the steak to the pan and cook for 5 minutes per side or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

  4. Rest and slice. Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice the steak across the grain into thin strips.

  5. Serve. Serve the bavette steak immediately with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
